Hydroalcoholic gel: do it yourself recipe!

  • Bowl
  • Funnel
  • Whisk or fork
  • Cotton or compress
  • 50 ml bottle
  • 40 ml of 70º pharmaceutical alcohol (Mercurochrome type or other that you find in pharmacies): it is a powerful and effective disinfectant and antiseptic
  • 1 teaspoon or 5 ml of Aloe Vera Gel: it helps to hydrate the skin, soften it and protect it
  • 2.5 ml of vegetable oil (the one you have at home) it can even be olive oil: it will be used to nourish the skin
  • 35 drops of Ravintsara essential oil ( Cinnamomum camphora ): antiviral, anti-infectious and antibiotic, therefore limiting the risks of infection. This is thanks to alpha terpineol - source
  • 35 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil ( Malageuca alternifolia) broad spectrum antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral thanks to monoterpene alcohols (terpinene-4-ol, alpha-terpineol...) - source
  • Clean the whisk or fork, funnel and bottle with a cotton ball or cloth to remove possible germs.
  • Pour the alcohol into a bowl
  • Add essential oils
  • Add vegetable oil
  • Add the aloe vera gel
  • Mix everything together until it seems homogeneous.
  • Pour into the bottle using the funnel
