Questions & Answers

If perimenopause can last up to 10 years, do I have to take the La Chamana elixir for all those years?

Not necessarily.
The La Chamana elixir is here to accompany the transition, not to be taken continuously throughout the whole of perimenopause.
To begin with, we generally recommend a 3 to 6-month course, depending on the intensity and nature of the imbalances (hot flushes, mood swings, fatigue, heavy or irregular periods, etc.).
The aim is to soothe the symptoms, rebalance the hormonal terrain, and gently accompany the natural changes of the body.
Once balance has been regained, it is entirely possible to take a break, or to stop taking it altogether.
And if certain discomforts reappear (for example during a period of stress, fatigue, or emotional overload), you can take the elixir again occasionally as targeted support.

La Chamana is not a lifelong treatment: it is a transition ally, which helps your body to rediscover its natural intelligence and to navigate this phase with more gentleness, clarity and vitality.
Can I take this elixir if I am on hormonal contraception (pill, hormonal coil, etc.)?
Yes, it is generally possible, but with one nuance to be aware of.
The elixir contains plants that act notably on mood (such as Griffonia, which supports the natural production of serotonin) and on emotional comfort. These actions are entirely compatible with taking contraception.
However, the elixir also contains chaste tree (Vitex agnus-castus), a plant that stimulates the natural production of progesterone by acting on the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. Now, when you take hormonal contraception, your menstrual cycle is artificially regulated, meaning that ovulation is blocked and the production of your own hormones is put on hold.
There is no known risk in combining chaste tree with the pill, but it could simply be pointless on a hormonal level since the cycle is inactive.
In some cases, the elixir can nevertheless provide valuable emotional support even while on contraception.

How do I measure the recommended millilitres?

It is very simple: the dropper pipette supplied with the bottle is graduated in millilitres (ml), which allows precise dosing at each intake. Should it be taken before or after meals?
